Conditions of Membership

Once you have been offered a place at the Club there are a few basic conditions we ask you to adhere to.  Since we have a large waiting list, we think it is only fair for everyone involved.

1. To confirm your place, and to renew your membership, you will need to complete a set of registration forms EVERY TERM. 
    

2. Forms will be provided  in hard copy format and can be collected from the training sessions towards the end of each term.
    

3. Forms must be completed and returned in HARD COPY by the deadline advised.
    

4. If you are if you are unable to return the forms in person they can be posted to:
   FAO Conrad Rowland, Slough Junior AC, Thames Valley Athletics Centre, Pococks Lane, Eton, Berkshire SL6 9HN
    

5. Electronic copies will not be made available or accepted.
    

6. Payment can be made in cash or cheque.  Payment is due in full by the first session of each term.  For details of current club fees, please click here.
    

7. Late return of forms and / or receipt of payment after the dates set out will result in your place(s) being offered with immediate effect to other athletes on the waiting list.
    

8. Any athlete who submits membership forms for the following term and subsequently decides to withdraw from the club a) after the submission deadline and b) before the start of the following term is expected to pay the full term's fees and will not be entitled to any refund of fees if already paid.
   
   Exceptions may be made at the committee's discretion for reasons including (but not limited to):
   - injury resulting in extended absence from competitive training, supported by a doctor’s note
   - relocating away from the area
   - compassionate reasons 
    

9. All athletes' families are required to participate in Parent Rota.  This involves helping with Club sessions on no less than three Saturday afternoons in each term.  Two no-shows for Parent Rota in the training year (September - August) without reasonable cause, means membership is terminated with immediate effect, with no refund of term or annual membership fees.
